From Staff Reports

Discovery Education has added new games, interactives, career resources and more to its K-12 learning platform, Discovery Education Experience. The new content nurtures student curiosity and supports educators’ efforts to engage all learners more deeply in instruction.

These resources, sourced from trusted partners, are aligned to state and national standards, and help educators bring the outside world into teaching and learning. Through partnerships with Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, Schoology, Canvas, Brightspace, and Clever, integrating Discovery Education’s K-12 learning platform into existing Information Technology architecture is particularly easy.

Among the new resources available for use in pre-Kindergarten to 2nd grade classrooms are:

  • Arcademics: These multi-player games make building skills in math, ELA (English Language Arts), and social studies engaging and fun.
  • Cram Jams: These educational, animated music videos are paired with instructional activities that transform language and grammar into something to sing about.

6th-12th grade classroom resources added include:

  • Life Skills Channel: This selection of curated resources helps students develop and enhance skills critical for success in the workplace and in relationships with others.
  • Ready4Work: This docuseries by CheddarK12 explores the ins and outs of job searches, highlighting the personal experiences of everyday people, the application process, career strengths, and job search challenges.
